The present paper argues that the state can be defined primarily in terms of its pursuit of ever greater coercive control over a given territory, which implies that the ultimate goal of political expansion - in terms of both scale and scope - is the establishment of a totalitarian world state.
Next, the paper identifies a range of strategies that could be implemented in order to bring such an entity into de facto existence even in the face of strong opposition of the majority of the global population. The pretext of global crisis management, the ESG agenda, and the ascent of CBDCs are discussed in this connection. Subsequently, various countermeasures against global totalitarianism are briefly considered.
The paper concludes with the observation that the same characteristics of today’s world that are conducive to the potential emergence of a dictatorial world state can also be used to the unique advantage of those determined to nip this process in the bud.
